Historic York

From only £129 3 days/2 nights

"With free time and an included cruise this three day break is the best way to explore historic York."

York is a wonderful historic city dominated by a stunning cathedral and well preserved castle walls popular with tourists from the world over. You will have a day and a half at leisure to discover the many delights that the city has to offer. There are plenty of museums to suit all tastes, including the realistic Yorvik Viking Centre, the ghastly dungeons and the collections of ancient artefacts. It is also a joy to wander the pretty narrow streets of the mediaeval and Tudor quarters. The included evening cruise promises to be a light-hearted whistle-stop tour of York's fascinating, often gruesome history. On the way to your destination we stop at the elegant spa town of Harrogate. The town has been popular since Victorian times for it's high-quality shopping, tea shops and gardens.
