Portsmouth is a vibrant modern city that is also boasts a proud maritime history. The main attraction is the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, which offers the opportunity to climb aboard two warships and examine the re-claimed galleon, the Mary Rose. You have the rest of the day to take advantage of the abundance of shops and cafes, take in the coastal panoramas from the Spinnaker Tower and there's an aquarium and natural history museum for the children. Our included excursion on day three takes you across the short stretch of water to the Isle of Wight. The island, half of which is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offers swathes of colourful countryside and breathtaking coastal scenery. You will have free time to explore the island however you wish
